Probably you should now introduce Nitish Kumar in this. Has his roots to JP movement but suddenly Anti Congress has a different meaning for him.
Actually till 1999, anti-Congressism was the in thing. But after the NDA completed a full -term, the focus in national politics is on anti-BJPism and the latest to jump on to that bandwagon is Nitish.
Thats a very good point actually. Congress has thoughtfully branded the BJP communal party and the BJP could not do much about it.
But there is a distinct shift in the BJP as well. Ever since Gadkari became the President, there is an effort in the Party to promote those who know facts well and can counter any argument on any platform with equal ferocity. This was not seen earlier as the spokespersons back then were soft on criticism.
Also projecting Modi is the right thing to do. Earlier BJP has been too defensive but at least now they are going all guns blazing. I think lot of people are underestimating the planning and execution capabilities of Modi as the Campaign Chief. He is one political leader in India who understands both India and Bharat. Interesting times ahead.
Yes, true. The larger story is how Rajnath and Modi have got together and how all the BJP workers are energized and will give a good fight for 2014. Instead most are focusing on the Advani sulk.
