I am not for Jan Lokpal bill which is unconstitutional. Government’s bill ttsrriceing it to high officials would do. In any case, if the investigation report reveals corruption and is made a public document, even if it is only recommendatory, government cannot brush aside. Supreme Court is able to order probe on mere paper reports on allegations where CBI was dragging its feet due to government pressure. So, when there is a full fledged investigation report, government cannot escape directives for prosecution from the courts. Otherwise too, anyone can file a PIL for a prosecution. More than Jan Lokpal, what the common man needs is full protection to bribe giver under all circumstances. So for all transactions which are personal and not commercial, bribe givers be given protection even if they are caught in the act of giving bribe. This will drastically bring down corruption than all these Jan Lokpals. I am also against the tactics of direct action by masses to force a legislation by the parliament, that too for an agency with investigation and prosecution powers, accountable to none. I am against the whole movement of Anna Hazare which tries to reduce governance to a farce and in this Congress spokespersons helped by their diatribes and arrogance. PM should simply tell the Parliament that Congress is not for Jan Lokpal Bill and however if the Main Opposition Party BJP is forJan Lokpal bill, the government will go ahead with the passing of it. This will expose the deceptive and destructive policies of BJP and other political parties.
