Rey is OK. Acceptable. BUT OK and acceptable is not good enough for Star Wars. Naturally the Casting had to be inspired. It’s not. I have no idea what Finn is doing in this movie? Is it because he’s Black? He’s bland.
I knew it was tragic when Lucas sold Star Wars to DIsney. WHY did he do it??? He couldn’t have needed the money. I think he surely wanted to ‘Pass the Torch’ – the Sabre. BUT if you pass it to somebody who doesn’t bleed Star Wars, but only wants money …
Bad Decision. Which I’m certain he now regrets. And that’s bad for all of us.
Why?
Because Star Wars IS Magical. It’s special. It was inspired.
BUT it requires people who know that.
